The problem seems to be that your DNS is mis-configured or broken.  I'm
afraid I don't have the time to diagnose it here, but hopefully the DNS
hint helps.  When you fix it, the following command should return something
similar to the below:

   guin:~$ host -t mx ufl.edu
   ufl.edu mail is handled by 10 sp-virtual-smtp1.nerdc.ufl.edu.
   guin:~$ 

However, I will say that you seem to be biting off a lot, running your own
mail server requires a fair bit of expertise to do right.
