We have a new development release of vPostMaster available. It includes a
bunch of mostly small changes. The biggest is that all installation issues
on Hardy (and all other previous platforms) have been included in the
release. Another notable change is that there is an extra database where
you can store accounting information, such as "is a dial up user".
Here is the full changelog:
Setting up Apache config file on Debian/Ubuntu for mailman.
Fixing issue with the squirrelmail config file being incorrectly written.
Adding support for Ubuntu Hardy.
Fixing spec file for man page installation file name.
Changing the schema to include the mailman system user name.
Code to get mydestination for new domain creation.
Fixing the e-mail address validation in the Forward field of the user page.
Adding "extra" values for non-mail attributes that can be set on users.
This allows an administrator to set other administrative values on
users such as "is a dial-up user" to use the vPostMaster database for
other accounting-types of things. Funded by Egyptian Internet.
Fixing exception logging if stdout pipe is broken.
Making SPF check compatible with SPF version 2.
Fixing bug: SPF if set to quarantine was actually doing reject.

Changing the forward regex to allow upper and lower case characters, and be
more RFC compliant. Suggested by Dan Sully, regex by Scott Kleihege
Extension character can now be empty as well as + or -.
Adding setup-mailman to set up the mailman values in the meta table.
Fixing .spec code that adds vPostMaser to mailman group on upgrade of RPMs.
The new test version is available at:

You should be able to upgrade from the 1.42 release to these releases. For
a new install, we have been going into the install-vpostmaster script and
just putting an "exit 0" in the script above where it does the vpostmaster
package installation, then manually completing that step using the version
we've downloaded.
If any of our commercial users would like a copy of the corresponding
commercial release to test, please contact me and I'll get you set up.
Please give this a test if you have interest. We'll give this a week in
the wild before rolling the production versions. Our testing so far has
been good with these versions, so this is one last opportunity for you to
run a test before the production release gets pushed out.
Thanks,
Sean
