That's how I did the upgrade, it was the suggested method from the  
Clam FAQ for Debian systems, if you don't want to break the update  
system.

Amazing what you can learn by reading the FAQ.

That's a pretty serious problem with the older clam version. I assume  
it does not effect all users or nobody would be using 0.90.
