[vPostMaster] Spamassassin not running

Folks:

OK, please forgive me for bothering you with one more problem.

I do not believe that spamassassin is running properly.

spamd is running with apparently the correct options, along with a  
couple of children.

But:

Even though "Add Spam Status Headers" is set to enabled no headers are  
added.

I put a non-null string in "spam subject prefix" and nothing is added  
to any message.

It doesn't appear that anything, including very obvious spam, is  
identified as such, vpostmaster status is "OK".

I've looked through google and the docs, haven't found anything useful.

Debian system, if it makes a difference.

SA version 3.1.7, Perl version 5.8.8

Any ideas? Thanks as always.
