[vPostMaster] weird load issue

Just wanted to give a follow-up on this issue, we switched from
SA/ClamAV to Postini almost two months ago, and not only has the spam
volume been decreased (by at least an order of magnitude), but not
having to run SA and ClamAV on every piece of incoming mail (we still
use it for a few things) has led to an incredibly dramatic decrease in
our mail server's load average. I've attached a Munin graph to illustrate.
If you find yourself having load issues, I would definitely recommend
checking into Postini. Google recently began offering Postini filtering
at a reduced price (basically, it's cheap, but your support options are
limited to community forums and pay-per-call phone support). We're
getting Postini filtering through our ISP, but if that option wasn't
available to us, we'd likely have gone with one of these plans:
http://www.google.com/a/help/intl/en/security/compare.html
For what it's worth, we have had to use the phone support once since
migration.
cheers
